The awards are to be presented at a prestigious charity evening themed “Celebrating the Best” in the Royal Randwick Ballroom on 16 August 2018. Other awards to be presented on the night include the BOBS Horse of the Year, the Sydney Strapper of the Year, the NSW Racing Writers’ Personality of the Year, the T J Smith Award, the George Moore Award, the Theo Green Award, the Bart Cummings Medal and the “big one”, the TAB NSW Champion Horse of the Year.

We are proud to again be supporting the Prince of Wales Hospital Foundation (POWHF) as our charity of choice for this year’s event. POWHF is an established charitable organisation supporting and promoting research, education, health promotion and patient care for and at the Prince of Wales Hospital Randwick. We encourage everyone to “dig deep” to help this very worthwhile cause.

Without giving too much away about the night, we have some truly outstanding items that will feature in the Monster and Silent Auctions. These include two business class flights to Europe, tickets to the spectacular that is Evita, some exquisite jewellery, art works from Masters, tickets to Bob Dylan’s Sydney concert, fashion items and accessories, fine dining and cultural options, family prizes and getaways.

There will also be a raffle conducted on the night as well as a “lucky door prize” being awarded.

The 2018 Racing’s Night of Champions Awards will again be televised “live” on Sky Thoroughbred Central on the Foxtel platform, and also internationally by our exclusive media partner Sky Racing, with highlights of the night also being shown across all Sky Racing channels.

Our wonderful sponsors for this year’s event are TAB, Racing NSW, Sky Racing, Emirates, the Australian Turf Club, International Animal Health Products, Wild Oaks, New Zealand Bloodstock, Inglis, Carrazzo Consulting, Hall Chadwick and De Bortoli Wines.

At the great price of $240 per head Racing’s Night of Champions is the best value night out you can have. So if you haven’t already done so, reserve your place now at a truly fantastic night. Tickets are selling fast, so BOOK NOW to avoid disappointment.

Our congratulations to all nominees – every nominee is a champion in what has been yet another exceptional year of racing.
