Country & Provincial Owners Now Welcome on NSW Tracks

Scone Race Club was one of the first country tracks to welcome back owners in 22 June.

Two weeks after racehorse owners with runners on the day were allowed back on Sydney racecourses, Racing NSW has announced that as of Saturday 20 June, country and provincial courses are also able to welcome owners to the track.

The conditions of Covid-19 related owner entry are:

  • Owners only (not guests or partners) are admitted. They may arrive up to 30 minutes prior to their race and leave within 30 minutes after. They may stay if they have multiple runners.
  • Owners will have their details verified at the gate.
  • For contact tracing, the club will record your name and contact details, not dissimilar to going into a pub or café at present.
  • Owners cannot access the mounting yard, contact jockeys etc.
  • You’ll be asked to stay the race away from the essential workers and their restrictions remain in place.
  • Distancing (1.5m) remains in place.
